CARE AND CLEANING

Discover our exclusive care tips to keep your favourite furniture looking beautiful for many years to come.

FABRICS

In our collection we carry a wide variety of fabrics from different suppliers that are not only attractive but also extremely high-quality and durable. Upon agreement, third-party fabrics may also be used if they meet the relevant quality requirements. Please talk to your furniture advisor.

Fabrics need regular care. Our furniture fabrics can be cleaned easily with a vacuum cleaner. The best method is to use a soft brush with a low suction and always vacuum in the direction of the pile. For heavier soiling and stains, we recommend that you use PURATEX textile care in accordance with the instructions. Cleaning agents that you have not used before should be tested on the enclosed sample or a concealed spot of the furniture. After cleaning, the upholstery should always be completely dry before being used again.

LEATHER

Leather is a high-quality natural product. It is made from cow hides and therefore bears the marks of an individual living creature. Insect bites, thorn scratches and injuries leave marks that can only be partially concealed during the processing process. These small marks are evidence of the natural origin of the product. The raw material comes from Europe and is tanned in Italy and Germany. All items have been awarded the ‘Blue Angel’ environmental label.

Leather is easy to care for and undemanding. Rub it down with a damp cloth every one to two months to keep it moisturised. Once or twice a year, the leather should be treated with a leather care product. We recommend the KERALUX care set for this purpose. Do not use chemicals or household cleaners for cleaning. Protect the leather from intense, direct sunlight.

The surface of coated leather is impregnated with a special protective finish. Nevertheless, stains on all types of leather should be dabbed immediately with an absorbent cloth. Then clean the leather over a large area with a cloth wrung out in mild soapy water. Rinse with clear water and dry with a wool cloth. Even with stubborn stains, never rub. Always test cleaning agents with unknown effects first on the enclosed sample or a concealed area of the upholstered furniture. Please do not use microfibre cloths intended for cleaning glass.

These are typical of the product and do not constitute grounds for complaint. Do not use chemicals for cleaning and avoid direct sunlight.

WOOD COLOURS

Our wooden furniture is made from high-quality solid wood sourced from Europe and North America. It is stained according to our colour chart and protected with a light, silk matt varnish. Please note that differences in structure and colour are a characteristic feature of natural wood and do not constitute grounds for complaint.

For daily cleaning, use only a dry cotton cloth. Depending on the degree of soiling, the cotton cloth may also be slightly damp. Dry the surface afterwards so that no moisture remains on the surface. Do not use microfibre cloths or harsh household cleaners that attack the wood. For heavier soiling, we recommend the SILVAPUR® wood care set from LCK. Use the products according to the instructions for use to avoid damage.
